We are seeking an experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our Clinical Biochemistry team within Blood Sciences. Our laboratory offers a comprehensive test repertoire processing approximately 2 million tests per year. The laboratory Automation section employs Ortho Clinical Vitros 5600 Integrated analysers with Thermo Scientific Sample Automation, the Specialist section includes Menarini HbA1c analyser and Sebia Hydrasys electrophoresis system. We a provide prenatal serum screening service using Perkin Elmer Delfia Xpress and Lifecycle risk software; the laboratory also utilises QPulse quality management system.

We welcome applications from Biomedical Scientists who hold an IBMS Specialist Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry or equivalent. An interest in information technology and automation would be advantageous as we look for someone to lead in this area. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years post HCPC registration experience working in a diagnostic laboratory.
