We currently have a vacancy for an experienced HCPC-registered Senior Biomedical Scientist wishing to work in our Pathology Laboratory within the Blackheath Hospital, London. The lab is multi-disciplinary, including Biochemistry; Blood Transfusion and Haematology, but we are looking for someone who has strong previous experience in Biochemistry.

Full training in other areas would be provided

Working as part of a small team, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills, knowledge and experience within this multidisciplinary laboratory. As the laboratory will be run as a 24/7 service, there is a requirement for the successful applicant to participate in an overnight onsite shift rota, late shifts and weekends.

Duties will include; sample reception duties; routine operation; maintenance and troubleshooting of the Laboratory instrumentation; technical validation and authorisation of results; stock control and ordering of supplies.
