It’s not very often that you have the opportunity to start from scratch, a fresh start to put in place a very real ‘right first time’ approach, where your input and expertise will lead to the success of the venture.

The June Almeida Laboratory is an expansion project, and your opportunity to be a vanguard in this pursuit to support the national testing regime and be a real part of the solution.

Joining a new team, you’ll be supporting the roll out of a new laboratory, this means new equipment, new facilities, new structures and molecular techniques. This will develop you professionally and give you a brilliant insight which will enhance your career.

You’ll be coming in as an established Specialist Biomedical Scientist, with experience in molecular techniques, and will be drawing down on your extensive experience to meet these objectives. You’ll be supervising Biomedical Scientists, Medical Laboratory Assistants and be purely focused on testing NHS COVID samples over a 24/7 rota.

You’ll be given the space and time you need as the samples will steadily increase and full orientation and induction will be provided so you’re starting off from a solid platform.

This will be a 1 year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension and you will be applying your knowledge and experience in supporting national efforts.
