Applications are invited from HCPC Registered Scientists with at least 5 years post  registration experience and hold an IBMS accredited MSc, FIBMS or equivalent qualification  specialising in Transfusion Science. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and  motivated individual to provide professional leadership and line management for a team of  Biomedical Scientists and support staff. They will also be required participate in the day to  day operational laboratory work and oversee staff training and competency. This is a rare  opportunity as the work undertaken in the Blood Transfusion section includes hospital blood  banking alongside blood donation processing and testing for the Jersey Blood Service,  therefore awareness of GMP, BSQR and ISO15189 are key requirements for this role.  

You will be joining the Government of Jersey Health and Community Services at an exciting  time as we plan for the new hospital. As a member of the Blood Sciences Senior Management Team you will be involved in the design and decision making for when we  move our services into the new laboratories.
