Job Title:  Consultant Biomedical Scientist - Cervical Cytology x2

Location: Halo Building, 1 Mabledon Place, London, WC1H 9AX

Salary range:  From £79,000 DOE

 

Essential Requirement -  IBMS Advanced Specialist Diploma in cervical cytology 

 

About the role:

Core Hours Monday to Friday 9am -6pm (40 hours /week).

As the single provider for NHS Cervical Screening Service (hr-HPV testing and cervical cytology) in the London Region we process in the region of 650,000 tests per annum.

Located within a modern laboratory facility in the flagship Halo Building in Central London, the laboratory is located a short walking distance from Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancras mainline rail stations.

Applications are invited for a forward thinking, enthusiastic Consultant Biomedical Scientist to join the existing team at our central London laboratory.

The ability to communicate in appropriate formats with a variety of stakeholders is essential.

The successful applicant will also be a team player who is able to work autonomously to build internal and external relationships as required.

Main duties will include:

  • Reporting of cervical cytology which require a consultant opinion
  • Participating in MDM ‘s and Invasive Cancer Audit review in addition to supporting training and development of both medical and scientific staff.

 

This is a full-time permanent position although part time or flexible working arrangements will be considered.

Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
