Biomedical Scientist (Advanced) - Haematology and Blood Transfusion
The States of Guernsey is looking for an Advanced Biomedical Scientist to join their Hospital Services team in The Haematology & Blood Transfusion Departments.
These Departments, based at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, provide a comprehensive service to the Bailiwick of Guernsey which includes the islands of Alderney, Sark and Herm.
The Advanced Biomedical Scientist in Haematology & Blood Transfusion is a key role in the provision of comprehensive, robust and cost effective diagnostic services.
You must hold a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science in either Haematology or Blood Transfusion and/or a Specialist Diploma in Haematology and Blood Transfusion or equivalence, be registered with the Health & Care Profession Council (HCPC) and have significant post qualification experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
The role requires you to have the appropriate skills to deal with multi-professional staff and the public, as well as being able to provide appropriate advice to clinicians and service users and contribute to the training and supervision of junior scientific, support and administrative staff. You must have a high level of theoretical and practical knowledge of Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
