Applications are now invited for the post of Senior Biomedical Scientist to join this prominent Institute within Core-Pathology, a core facility based at the Pathology and Pharmacy Building at Whitechapel. We are a self-funding department providing histological services to the private sector, the NHS and support for research and teaching both within Queen Mary University and for other external research institutions.

The successful candidate will assist in the provision of a core histopathology facility with the appropriate resources and expertise to enable all staff, researchers and students within or associated with the University to achieve their research and teaching aims.

Applicants should be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and hold state registration with the Health Care Professions Council. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload. They will have experience in all aspects of histopathology techniques

This is a full-time permanent position. Starting salary will be in the range £33,615- £39483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
